The Fight for Environmental Justice: Old and New Challenges During a Syndemic of Racism, Toxic Pollution, and Deadly Viruses

Come meet Dr. Sacoby Wilson! An environmental engineer and social justice advocate, Dr. Wilson will share his perspective on environmental justice. Drawing on his deep expertise as an environmental health scientist, scholar and activist, Dr. Wilson will talk about the challenges of environmental racism, intersectionality, and the importance of community-university partnerships for creating social change.

The lecture is titled The Fight for Environmental Justice: Old and New Challenges During a Syndemic of Racism, Toxic Pollution, and Deadly Viruses, and will be presented on Wednesday, September 30 at 4:30pm ET.

This lecture is intended to be the start of a broader dialogue about how to CUNY Law can work in solidarity with local communities to build environmental justice in NYC.
